Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Without the fear of the Lord, it is impossible to know God
To know Him is to fear Him
To honor Him
To tremble at His word
And that trembling is not merely words spoken out of one's mouth, but rather a knowing within one's soul.
He is God not a figment of the imagination,
but a Great and Mighty, Terrible King
One full of love and grace
Splendor and Majesty
Mysteries and Wisdom
Knowing that He is God, far beyond our reach,
and yet He comes to us, He comes to us with peace and love, light and truth.
How much of an honor it is to bow before Him and make a sanctuary for Him within our hearts.
I beckon us to depart from wants and desire and run to a holy fear, a righteous fear, a reverential fear, and honor.
I find myself saying Lord I want to obey you, I want to hear you, I want to please you. But I then question myself as I analyze and ask, but do I really?
These answered desires become true and reality when I am brought to my knees in the fear of God and trembling at His Word.
They that fear the Lord find themselves as the Psalmist in Psalms 119:15 says, meditating in the Lord's precepts and having respect unto His ways.
As I ponder the below thoughts or rather questions in my own soul, I present them as a question for you to answer within yourselves:
How can one fear whom they don't know?
How can one know He whom He is to fear?
Do I have true respect unto the ways of the Lord in all aspects that I have been privy to thus far in life?
There is no healthier place in Christ than to be real with God about your own heart and not pretend. Recognizing that which you know God requires of you and desires of you, you cannot obtain on your own and through your own strength. It's about recognizing, admitting, and repenting!
